Description: This class provides those who attend with a basic understanding of the legal, substantive, procedural, and operational issues involved in importing merchandise into the United States.  Our esteemed faculty will discuss recent developments in this fast-changing area of law.  Among the topics they will highlight are the mandatory use of the ACE computer system and CBP’s transition to Centers of Excellence and Expertise (“CEE”), which could fundamentally change importers’ relationships with the agency.  This information is critically important for all attorneys advising manufacturing firms and other companies involved in the shipment of merchandise across national boundaries.
