Government Contracting Small Business Trends: Business Issues, Protests and Appeals 2019 *In-Person at D.C. Bar* (NEW)

Description: The U.S. Small Business Administration (“SBA”) manages the U.S. government’s procurement preference programs for small businesses and various sub-groups. These businesses include those that are woman-owned, Veteran-owned, service-disabled Veteran-owned, HUBZone businesses, and those business owned by the socially and economically disadvantaged. This course will address business considerations relating to the various SBA preference programs, size limitations applications to federal procurements, the SBA mentor-protégé program, size categories, joint ventures, affiliation issues, NAICS code challenges, size protests and appeals, and penalties for violations of the SBA’s certification requirements.
