Description: This informative and wide-ranging program will bring together current and former IRS and government regulators and private practitioners in the legal and accounting industries to discuss the latest statutory, regulatory, and judicial developments impacting tax exempt organizations.  Those sessions for which CLE credit is available are: 
 
IRS Exempt Organizations Update

Description: The informative panel will discuss details and trends regarding IRS tax law updates related to tax reform, changes and procedures related to tax administration, and specific issues related to tax forms and instructions.  In addition, they will provide information regarding the progress of implementation of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act as it relates to forms, instructions, and guidance.  The discussion will focus on the development of tax law guidance as it relates to tax exempt organizations.

Guidance Update from the IRS

Description: These experienced speakers will provide detailed technical tax law and practice updates from Department of Treasury Office of Tax Policy and the IRS Employee Benefits, Exempt Organizations, and Employment Taxes (EEE) Associate Chief Counsel Office.  They will provide tax updates that relate to exempt organizations, charitable contributions, and planning. They will also discuss applicable updates on current regulatory and guidance projects as outlined in the 2019-2020 IRS and Treasury Priority Guidance Plan.

Practical Application of COVID Relief

Description: This new and timely class will update those who attend on COVID relief available for nonprofit organizations and its practical application to ongoing operations.  Among the topics our knowledgeable presenters will discuss are the Payroll Protection Program loan forgiveness, continued availability of Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDL), ongoing charitable giving incentives, and the delay in payment of the employer portion of payroll taxes.
