Racism is omnipresent and significantly affects the livelihood of people and communities of color. Research has consistently indicated that the detrimental mental and physical health consequences of racism are pervasive and far-reaching. This forum will discuss racism as a traumatic stressor and effective coping strategies for the mental health consequences of racism.

In addition, we will briefly touch on the process of allyship development for White allies including commitment, humility, and skills and support needed to sustain allyship.

Pre-registration for this program is required. As always, please feel free to share this invitation with colleagues. D.C. Bar membership is not required to attend.
