Description: This informative and insightful class addresses potential claims that employees can have against employers based on cybersecurity issues, and claims and defenses that employers may have against employees involving cybersecurity issues. Among the topics our knowledgeable and experienced faculty will discuss are claims employees may assert (e.g., whistleblower, retaliation, those involving rewards programs, and those concerning the employer’s failure to protect the employee’s data). The faculty also will discuss the employer’s defenses to these claims, and claims the employer may assert against an employee for misusing the employer’s data.
