Description: Taught by a judge and two experienced medical malpractice lawyers, this class provides the basics on handling medical malpractice litigation from both the plaintiff and defense perspectives.  Those who attend will receive practical pointers on discovery, litigation strategy, obtaining experts, mediation, settlement, and pretrial and trial matters.  Our distinguished faculty will discuss the effective use of technology in the courtroom and demonstrate how to qualify an expert witness in court.  Attendees also will learn how to practice within the requirements of the D.C. Medical Malpractice Act of 2006.
