Note: This course satisfies the California, Florida, Illinois, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and West Virginia MCLE requirements for substance abuse courses.

Description: Our experienced, multi-disciplinary panel will address the connection between substance abuse and ethical violations, focusing on the opioid crisis in the United States and its impact on the legal profession.  Our insightful faculty will offer practical advice and explores considerations for managing partners and employers when dealing with substance abuse by attorneys.  They will examine the rules related to addiction issues in bar disciplinary proceedings and key cases involving addiction.  Those who attend will better understand the role of the profession in assisting lawyers who are substance abusers.
