Lunch and Learn: A Day in the Life of a Litigation Attorney (Online Only)

This session will focus on a typical day for a Business Litigation Attorney practicing law in Virginia, Maryland & Washington D.C., and all the elements involved in creating the foundation of a successful business litigation firm. It will explore the different types of business litigation practices; the nuts and bolts of starting and successfully maintaining a growing practice; the basics of practice and case management; marketing; social networking and the use of search engine optimization; the importance of a healthy attorney-client relationship; production of blogs and content and finally, some helpful tips I've learned along the way!

D. Margeaux Thomas is an attorney with The Thomas Law Office, PLC. She represents small businesses and individuals in commercial litigation cases at all levels of state and federal courts. Ms. Thomas counsels’ clients across a broad spectrum of issues, including business torts, commercial landlord tenant law, breach of contract matters, real estate disputes, and risk management matters. She is licensed to practice law in state and federal courts in Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia. Ms. Thomas earned her B.A. degree, magna cum laude, from Bowling Green State University and her J.D. degree from The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law.
