Join our guest panel of experienced lawyers and cybersecurity experts who will: (1) Provide encryption primer for level-setting purposes; use news headline or public statement to debunk misconceptions; (2) Cover back-door encryption vs. privacy debate and touch upon how these issues arise in a criminal defense context; (3) Discuss encryption's relevance to other areas: ethics, export controls, data privacy; and (4) Provide the audience with tips for personal use/application of encryption in law firms.
Pre-registration for this program is encouraged. As always, please feel free to share this invitation with colleagues. D.C. Bar membership is not required to attend. Food is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Doors open at 11:45 am. Lunch and networking begins at 12:00 pm. Program content starts at 12:15 pm.
