ON DEMAND: New Tax Practitioners Series: Penalties: What is the Big Deal?

Date(s):
Description:
Credit: 0 Credit Hours

Run Time: 55 Minutes

**This is a previously recorded program, originally recorded on November 18, 2020.

This back to basics panel will cover topics that range the spectrum from opinion letters to Graev issues and everything in between that our esteemed panelists can fit into an hour. Although many tax professionals find themselves in the planning or controversy bucket, the discussion of penalties is really two sides of the same coin. Planners help clients avoid penalties and write opinion letters to protect against them; controversy attorneys help clients defend against the imposition of penalties and look for procedural defects with their imposition. No matter in which bucket you find yourself, this panel will be applicable.
