Please join us for a discussion regarding the history of women's right to vote with Rebecca Boggs Roberts, author of Suffragists in Washington, D.C.: The 1913 Parade and the Fight for the Vote. A brief networking and book signing to follow the discussion. This event is free and is the third program leading up to the D.C. Bar 2020 Conference: 100 Years of the 19th Amendment. Rebecca Boggs Roberts has been many things including, but not limited to, journalist, producer, tour guide, forensic anthropologist, event planner, political consultant, jazz singer, and radio talk show host. Currently, she is Curator of Programming for Planet Word, a museum set to open in 2020. She looks forward to creating a new institution that will become part of the intellectual and cultural life of our capitol city. Rebecca lives in Washington, D.C. with her husband, three sons, and a big fat dog.
 
Pre-registration for this "Off the Record" program is encouraged, but walk-ups are also welcomed. As always, please feel free to share this invitation with colleagues. D.C. Bar membership is not required to attend. Food is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Doors open at 5:30 pm. Discussion begins at 6:00 pm, followed by light refreshments with a book signing and networking.
